PLM Families Together is a faith‐based service organization which provides short term housing and supportive services to homeless families in Wake County, North Carolina. In 30 independent apartments, 120‐130 families receive shelter and supportive services per year with an 80% success rate of subsequently maintaining stable housing. Our annual budget is approaching one million dollars and our work is supported by individual donors, as well as federal, state and local funding sources, including the City of Raleigh, The United Way, sponsoring congregations and an extensive volunteer network. At this time we are seeking an experienced executive leader to help us reach the next level of sustained growth. We are seeking an individual who has the following qualities:
- Non‐profit leadership experience
- An orientation towards planning ‐ engages organizational leadership strategically, embracing vision, goals and accountability
- Business management – applies operational discipline, meets deadlines and creates an overall businesslike environment while maintaining a culture of empowerment and collaboration
- Collaborative working style
- Empowers and respects staff, volunteers, clients and donors
- Excellent people skills
- Fundraising experience with individuals, corporations, foundations and government entities
- Grant management and reporting experience
- Strong faith orientation and understanding of Christian experiences and values, able to work closely with congregational and denominational leaders; ordination is not required.
- Skilled and inspirational communicator – including internal and external communications, public speaking and writing
- Community networking skills
