CDS is seeking an experienced major gifts fundraising professional with a background in fundraising in higher-education, health care and museum environments (or comparable) to serve as a Senior Capital Campaign Directors. Qualifications include a minimum of ten years of fundraising experience, with at least six years experience in the solicitation of major gifts, preferably of increasing size and significance. Capital campaign experience is preferred, but senior level management of a major gift solicitation effort is also acceptable. An advanced degree is preferred.

The successful candidate must be friendly, outgoing, personable and articulate. He or she must be energetic, enthusiastic and a good relationship sales-oriented person. The most highly qualified candidates will be capable communicators, both in writing and in speaking to groups. If you struggle to writeplease do not apply. Good teachers and motivators who are persuasive and have a penchant for leadership are most likely to succeed.

Top candidates must be thoroughly familiar with the administrative functions of a high-quality, fast-paced development office. He or she will be proficient with the computer, a fast typist with good proofreading skills, proficient with Microsoft Office, and familiar with the basics of various fundraising database software programs. Good manners, knowledge of proper social etiquette and cultural sophistication are very highly valued. The best candidates will be a "jack of all trades, and a master of most." The Senior Campaign Director must be willing to travel or relocate to the client's community for extended periods of time. CDS pays the cost of travel to offsite locations, along with room and board.
