Tony Kimbrell joins Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Georgia and Alabama as Vice President of Development
(ATLANTA, April. 18, 2011) - The Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Georgia and Alabama is pleased to announce that Nathan “Tony” Kimbrell has joined the organization as Vice President of Development. In his role, Tony is responsible for overseeing all aspects of fund raising for the chapter in both Georgia and Alabama. Mr. Kimbrell will manage a staff of six in the Georgia office and a staff of two in the Alabama office. He will be responsible for growing revenue to meet the rising need for wishes. “This is a critical role for our chapter. As competition for private funding becomes increasingly difficult and the need for wishes rises, we need a strong development leader to insure we have the right strategy, structure and staff to meet the needs of our wish families,” states CEO, Kathy Hammond.
A native of Georgia, Kimbrell has held senior positions at Atlanta Ballet and The National Faculty. He most recently held the position of Executive Director for the Young Audiences, Woodruff Arts Center. Mr. Kimbrell’s accomplishments include the reorganization of three of the institutions in which he has served, and the management of a significant capital campaign and construction project.

Mr. Kimbrell holds a BM in Music from Clayton State with extensive studies in economics. He has completed additional course work in public speaking, technology and finance.
